Excess weight is a problem for most of the people. Every one tries to use different types of diet to loose weight. At times while selecting the diet we forget to find out if it is beneficial for our health or are we just harming our body on the name of loosing weight
One of the healthiest, effective and fast ways to loose weight is the cabbage soup diet. This diet is a low fat high fiber diet that helps to get rid of excess weight. The cabbage soup diet should be followed for seven days only and not longer than that. When you are following the diet you should drink lots of water and follow the diet religiously
When following the cabbage soup diet, it is also advisable to take multivitamins tablets as a supplement. Also to prevent that hungry feeling, you must drink as much soup as you need. Just so to break the monotony of the taste, you can add different spices to make the soup more appealing.
As the name suggest, the cabbage soup diet contains cabbage, onion and tomatoes. This combination helps us to lose weight because of the high fiber content .This makes our body burn body fats for energy instead. Add pepper, garlic powder, salt, or any desired spices to make the soup more delicious. Chicken broth or vegetable stock can even be added. So on the first day of this plan, you will have cabbage soup and fruits except banana. You can also have tea but without the sugar.
On the second day you can have cabbage soup and vegetables but should avoid dry beans, corn and peas and have one baked potato which you can make more interesting by adding spices and onion.
On the third day of your cabbage soup diet you can have fruits, vegetables and soup. On the fourth day you can have banana and milk and not to forget the cabbage soup. The fifth day would include tomatoes, meat or fish and the soup. On the sixth day you can have soup, meat and lots of green leafy vegetables.
For the final day of the cabbage soup diet, take soup, rice, fruit juice and vegetables. During this period, you cannot take bread, alcohol and carbonated drinks at all. Instead you can have black coffee, unsweetened tea and fruit juices, cranberry juice and skimmed milk. Just by adopting this diet, you can lose 10 to 15 pounds within a week.
By following this diet religiously, you can easily and quickly lose up to 15 pounds in a week. But remember; only stay on the cabbage soup diet for a week, then off for a week and if you wish, you can do it again for another week. The cabbage soup diet is a sure way to drop those unwanted pounds in a healthy hurry.
